What Is a Blind Box Trading Party?

A blind box trading party, or a “trading party” for short, is a gathering where people bring their collections of items they have opened from a blind box to trade with others. Not everyone is a collector but some people are trying to complete their collections.

What the heck is a blind box?

A blind box is a sealed package that contains one of a certain product, but the one you get is a mystery (which is why blind boxes are sometimes called mystery boxes). There are tons of different types of blind boxes, from trinkets to pins. 

Companies create a series of products with different designs and you will receive one (1) of those designs when you open a box. 

For example, the company Dreams has a collection called Animal Bakery. As the box shows, you can get any of the designs shown:

If you were to get an entire box (also known as a “case”) you should get one of each design, but it has happened where you get a duplicate, or you may get lucky and get a secret!

While we might be a little biased, we think trading parties at Colorful Cute are some of the best trading parties in South Florida. 

Our blind box trading parties are held the first Saturday of every month starting at 8 PM at our store at the Shops at Sunset Place in South Miami.

Tables are set up outside our doors, weather permitting. Collectors of all kinds come and set up their collections/traders. 

Trading is between y’all! Whatever you think is a fair trade is up to you and your trading partner. 

Some of the most popular items our cuties have been bringing to trading parties include (but are not limited to): Sonny Angel, Smiski, Tokidoki, Calico Critters, Miniso blind boxes, PopMart figures such as Labubu and Skullpanda, and more!
